Some time ago guys at 8bitrocket.com announced the contest for Atari inspired, web-based game that'll fit under 16 kilobytes. We (BlackMoon Design team) took the challenge and have created a game called "16k Lander". As the name suggest - it's a cover of the Atari famous arcade title called "Lunar Lander". We're very happy to tell you that "16k Lander" actually won the competition and claimed the Grand Prize! Yup - we rock!
Eric Ruth is creating yet another pixel-art re-make of the top modern game. This time it's Halo 3. The game is coming out any time now. (make sure to check Eric's website)
If you have any warm feeling about Commodore C64 - you need to visit http://www.lemon64.com/ (if you haven't done so already). It's a great site with lots of pixel art graphics from C64 games (there's much more than just games). Highly recommended!
The BlackMoon Design team has launched new iPhone game today – “Attack of the Mutant Sheeps”. The game is quite simple, yet it’s fun and challenging. There's some crude humor into the game – you must protect your hot-dog from being eaten by a bunch of mutated (and possibly aggressive) sheeps.
Here's a advent calendar that you might like. Mission in Snowdriftland is a game with some very nice pixel-art graphics. There are 24 levels - each one unlocked every day. When you finish the level there are some indie game related goodies to download.
